It is impossible to know if most underlever action firearms have a live round chambered when their lever is closed so a solution was sought that would show that a underlever action firearm did not have a round chambered. Our solution is a plug and flag arrangement. The plug fills most of the chamber and the flag shows the firearm is safe. The lace is flat and moves easily out of the way of the bolt as it closes
