- PROBLEM SOLVING

- EXPLORATION
Better Bang provides fresh perspective; we combine our design skills with knowledge of existing products to provide insight for our clients. New products benefit from innovation, extra functionality and unique selling points that give them the edge over competitors. We offer ideation, brainstorming, sketching and conceptualisation services to our clients as it is the quickest and most cost-effective way of exploring options available and making informed decisions at the start of the project journey. We carry out user experience and ergonomic studies as a way of gathering real-life data to be incorporated into new designs.

- DEVELOPMENT
We can apply many different techniques to develop a concept. We can focus on aesthetic styling to compliment product functionality with contemporary or traditional appearance. We make extensive use of 3D modelling to explore size, shape and function especially within complex assemblies. These 3D models are versatile and can be used to create photorealistic images, instructions, intellectual property documents and manufacturing drawings. The models can be used to carry out simulation for such technical considerations as stress and heat dissipation. Most importantly the development of these 3D models provides the opportunity to make prototypes.

- PROTOTYPING
There is no substitute for holding a product in your hand. Prototype modelling is an integral part of our design process and is always recommended for the information and validation that it can provide. We have a comprehensive range of in-house capabilities including 3D printing, CNC machining, laser cutting, PCB manufacture and silicone casting. For out of house services, we have a network of design savvy external suppliers selected to meet our exacting standards of quality and delivery. The design process will always need a practical and hands on approach for solving real life problems by using real-life testing.

- TEST
We have access to several ranges for our testing needs, including, 100 yard indoor range, 100 yard outdoor range, a 600 yard outdoor range and the great outdoors.




- TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
We have expertise in all the general manufacturing methods. Our specialist area is plastic injection moulding. We regularly design for overmouldings, complex tolerancing, ingress protection, impact resistance, technical material specification, traceability, chemical & UV resistance as well as colours, textures, and finishes. Our history of practical experience means that new projects are streamlined and made more efficient by referring to our broad knowledge base.

- ENGINEERING
Our 3D CAD capability and the extensive experience of our team members enables us to create virtual parts and assemblies with which to optimise performance prior to production. The most common techniques we use are collision checking, FEA and mould flow, sectional views and exploded assemblies. Finalised designs are ready for manufacture and can be output as all common 3D data types. 2D control drawings prepared to industry conventions often accompany 3D files in order to complete the manufacturing specification, complete with tolerances, materials, finish etc.

- MANUFACTURE
Better Bang can work together with your in-house team or manufacturing partner. We are fluent in the technical requirements of the manufacturing industry and we can make the transition from virtual to real as smooth as possible. During this journey we can provide additional support and help with other tasks vital to a new products success. These include intellectual property protection, standards and compliance, quality control, verification, and validation and preparing standard operating procedures to name a few.
