ROTATING TARGET

Moving targets always raise a smile and get other shooters at the range asking to try them out. This rotating target was no exception. It was developed using a DC motor with high ratio gearbox and is controlled by remote control for variable speed and direction of rotation.
The target board is belt driven and this approach has enabled other versions to be built that use a multi groove pulley on the gearbox output shaft to drive several other target boards arranged around the drive unit. Crossing the belt between the drive pulley and target board pulley reverses the direction of target rotation. Using pulleys of different sizes results in targets rotating at different speeds. Once this is installed it will be a very challenging COF. Watch this space.
