BHN HARDNESS TESTER

Off the shelf optical type BHN hardness testers for cast lead bullets are difficult to use accurately because they often need several hands all at once. Our solution holds the indented bullet in a pot of modelling clay and the arched stand allows the microscope to be brought down and focused on the indentation. A USB camera mounted to the microscope allows the image to be easily viewed on screen and stored. The image shows 0.056″ = 16.6 BHN.
