Many precision shooters wait for a barrel to cool down before continuing with more shots and they often use a proprietary air cooler to force air through the barrel to reduce their wait. If the air temperature is elevated that can slow things down and feel like a lifetime. We improved the efficiency of this method of barrel cooling by adding an inline chiller to cool the air below ambient before it was delivered into the barrel. The chiller is pre frozen just like a cool-bag ice block and when frozen it is insulated by slipping on a neoprene jacket. The thermal image shows the drop in temperature.
