BULLET INSERTION FORCE GAUGE

Achieving consistent neck tension is a holy grail of shooters because so many factors affect it. The only reliable way to test that everything is being done consistently is to use a bullet force insertion gauge. We designed a simple but extremely accurate and low cost solution by combining a compression spring of a known rate with a dial gauge. In this example 1 rotation of 1mm = 10N force being applied. The force been applied is 9.5N (2.13lb) = hold force just for the photo.
