BRASS CASE ANNEALER

Keeping brass in good condition and ensuring reliable neck tension requires them to be annealed. Annealing is best done on a batch by batch approach with cases of the same calibre and type being annealed together. In this way the optimum duration and heat can be established and then applied consistently.

Reloaders use many different DIY solutions such as standing the cases in a tray of water and heating with a blow torch. These methods can be inconsistent and often result in ruined brass. Commercially available annealers can be beyond the pocket of most home reloaders so there is a need for a simple home annealer. Using thermal compounds such as Tempilac on the shoulder or neck (reloaders choice) reduces the trial and error in finding the right timing but once this is known the results with this annealer can be very consistent. This annealer works with brass from 375H+H Mag down to .223, bottle or straight and because the brass is fed singularly, the open flame is supervised.
